The Club at Ridgewood has five lighted clay tennis courts recently resurfaced by Carolina Court Works. The courts are open to members every day from 9:00 AM until 10:00 PM. Reservations are preferred for court times, and may be arranged 24 hours in advance by calling 643-6180. Walk-in play is accepted if courts are available. Appropriate smooth, flat soled footwear is required for the clay surfaces. Knobs and grips on cross-training and running shoes can cause damage to the playing surface. Please adhere to the Club Tennis Rules.
Due to the winter conditions, Ridgewood is preparing to close the courts for the season. We will keep the nets up as long as conditions permit, but as the nightly freezing worsens, we will start dropping the nets. Members are welcome to continue playing daily. We only ask that you check the surface of the court before playing, as some courts may still be soggy from freezing the night before. Court condition updates will be left on the Pro Shop Voicemail. The Ridgewood Swim & Tennis Club is proud to announce its partnership with the Greensboro Tennis Program and introduce our new Tennis Director/Pro, Scott Wellons. The Greensboro Tennis Program has produced over 70 players with state ranking, and Scott has been working with that group for over 6 years. Scott specializes in Junior Player Development & League/Clinic/Tournament programming. We are thrilled that Scott is at Ridgewood and look forward to his ongoing contributions to the tennis program..
Online Court Reservations: Ridgewood members can now reserve a tennis court for play from anywhere using our new Online Court Reservation System. Login information and instructions are located in the FAQs page of the reservation system. You may reserve a court up to one week in advance, but you cannot reserve a court for same-day play. Same-day reservations must be made through the pro shop or by filling out the reservation sheet posted on the bulletin board. If you have any questions, please contact Kirsten or Scott.
